YOU’RE INVITED TO OUR FUNDRAISER!
"Connecting the community through Love"
Saturday April 6th 11am - 4pm (address below)
Meet the Lord Mayor of Canterbury, Councillor Jean Butcher, the Lady Mayoress of Canterbury Di Baldock and the Sheriff of Canterbury, Councillor Tom Mellish! Enter our raffle, wonder at the spectacle of close up magic with the amazing Guy Wade (circle magician), FREE food from Maya‘s, great music, a selection of wonderful stalls like crafts, cosmetics, herbal remedies, tarot reading, snacks and drinks, meet some dogs from Fetcher Dog adoption, lego pit, Community Driving School, local businesses, community groups and much more... all raising money for our CIC and outreach service.
Happy Here CIC, Maya's Community Food bank and the LGBTQ+ society is holding a fundraising event on Saturday April 6th from 11am - 4pm at Peace by the Sea in Tankerton with the wonderful Annie and Rose. 81a Northwood Road, Tankerton CT5 2HD.
Alternatively, if you want to donate to our raffle or provide some music please contact Kris at happyherecic@gmail.com or attend on the day and let us know. If you could email us beforehand that would be great.
The fundraiser will be a community event where you can network, provide a small event or describe what you do. If you have a stall we ask if you can also donate something from your business for the raffle and include a leaflet/business card.
The Happy Bus will also be parked outside if you have any questions or social prescribing matters and of course delicious hot drinks!
... and we have an ICE CREAM VAN!
THIS IS ALL on the last Saturday of Easter half term so something fun for you to do with your family too!

Starting in April 2024, you can join us for our Walk 'n' Talk every Wednesday with Will from 3pm onwards.
Join us at Faversham Recreational Grounds every Wednesday at 3pm.
Bring a friend, family or your dog. Walking is a great way to meet new people and a chance to share things with others who are holding space to support each other with Happiness In MIND.

"A Sense of Sound"

On Saturday March 9th at 3pm is "A Sense of Sound" with Kris and Katie at The Over 60's Club, Pettman House in Wimereux Square on William Street, Herne Bay from 3pm - 4pm. Please arrive a little earlier so we can start then.
This will be a modern take on a calming meditation and sound workshop… some active listening, meditation, music and sound bowls with a free gift.
All we ask of you is that you relax, close your eyes and enjoy. Just lay with us and soak in the calm.
PLEASE BRING SOMETHING TO LAY ON, A COMFORTABLE BLANKET AND PILLOW OR CUSHION FOR YOUR HEAD. WE RECOMMEND A COVER OR CLOTH FOR YOUR EYES.
Places will be booked first come first serve and at £8.

Starting in April 2024, you can join us for our Walk 'n' Talk "The EVENING walk" every Thursday from 6:30pm onwards.
These Walks alternate between Longer and Shorter Walks so keep and eye on our Social Media for information about each weeks’ walk.
Join us at the clocktower every Thursday at 6:30pm.
Bring a friend, family or your dog. Walking is a great way to meet new people and a chance to share things with others who are holding space to support each other with Happiness In MIND.

Join us for our Walk 'n' Talk "The LONGER walk" every other Wednesday, apart from the first Wednesday of the month where we take a short walk to Mayas Community Cafe for a monthly breakfast catch up.

We will be running Walk 'n' Talks every Wednesday, this one is a longer walk (a big favourite!) and the alternate Wednesday is a shorter Walk 'n' Talk.

These are our shorter walk 'n' talks that happen every other Wednesday, leaving from Herne Bay Clocktower at 10am!

Please note: The first Wednesday of each month these walks will be in conjunction with our Walk 'n' Talk and Brunch.

Starting location and route will be announced on our social media. We will leave to start the walk at 10am, finishing at approx. 12pm.

This walk is FREE and we welcome everyone, including dogs and... well... any other pets you like

Happy Queer Coffee Morning
Every first Saturday of the month 11am - 1pm

Our Happy Queer coffee mornings are happening at The Pier Ceylon in collaboration with the Herne bay LGBTQ+ Society on the first Saturday of each month.
​
Our intention with this event is to make sure we’re holding space for the LGBTQ+ community and their well-being matters using self expression and advocacy through creative means and conversations, however everyone is welcome to come and participate!
​
A place where you can cultivate safe conversations and understanding with people you trust.
​
There will be regular hot drink and snack deals so come take a look!

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of Social Enterprise Kent we will be bringing the Happy Bus to different locations in Thanet and the South Kent coast most Fridays, where we will be doing FREE small creative expression sessions providing hot drinks, snacks and materials for the over 55's to help tackle loneliness and isolation this winter to underserved areas in Kent.

We have been confirmed and in partnership with Sports Connect, Sports England and Active (Kent & Medway) for the Together Fund to bring you a program of inclusive football sessions for 16+ young adults.
​
These sessions are FREE and will be fitness fun and informal. We’re looking for 16+ to come and join in, and of course, friends and family are also welcome to come and support.
